The village of Swaton, in North East England was the setting for a hazardous 'eggtreme' sport on Sunday. Participants were predominantly from the UK, and they took to such events as Egg Roulette, 2 people Throw and Catch, Egg Relay and Egg Target Throwing. Conditions were chilly but competitors were not discouraged. In the egg Throwing Cup, teams of two compete by throwing an egg to each other over a set distance. If their egg survives they move further apart until only one team's egg remains intact. But the highlight for the day was the World Russian Egg Roulette where competitors go head to head. England in the end showed its dominance with Jerry Cullen taking first place after many nail biting rounds.
