Английские сокращения в СМС и чатах

Одним из любимых занятий британцев и американцев в наши дни является общение при помощи коротких текстовых сообщений. В обиходе такое общение называют text-messaging (или сокращенно texting). Это популярное занятие привело к созданию целой системы сокращений, используемых в смс, записках, чатах и прочем общении через интернет. В основном сокращения в английском языке генерируются посредством использования чисел и букв, созвучных определенным словам.

8 = ate [eɪt]
B = be [bi:]
C = see, sea [si:]
U = you [ju:]
R = are [ɑ:(r)]
T = tea [ti:]
Y = why [waɪ]
